North Fork Sun contributor Joseph J. Finora will sign copies of his North Fork-set murder mystery Red Like Wine, the North Fork Harbor Vineyard Murders. on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, 1470 Old Country Road in Riverhead.

The novel follows down-and-out New York City crime reporter Vin Gusto and his former girlfriend, photographer Shanin Blanc, who discover that more than wine is being made at a vineyard in a farming-and-fishing community rapidly evolving into a wine destination.

When a renowned but reclusive winemaker turns up dead in a vat of his own wine, Gusto and Blanc set out to solve the crime while attempting to repair both their relationship and their careers amid the ensuing murder and mayhem.

Finora, who writes about the North Fork wine and beverage industry for the Sun, is also at work on a new novel.
