Music lovers will have the opportunity to experience an outdoor concert unlike any other on Thursday, June 11, at Landcraft Garden Foundation in Mattituck. The event, themed “Music Follows Nature: Sea, Soil & Soul,” combines live music with the botanical landscape as part of the 2026 Rites of Spring Music festival.

Eddie Barbash alongside the KASA Quartet will guide guests through a symphony of American roots traditions and influences from Mexico, France, and Brazil. The program includes timeless melodies from artists such as Duke Ellington, Claude Debussy, Pedro Infante, and Roy Orbison. Barbash is an accomplished saxophonist and a founding member of the house band for The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Creating a fusion of music genres, the award winning KASA Quartet will be sure to create a one of a kind experience on this unique evening concert.

The Rites of Spring Music Festival has established itself as a premier classical and contemporary music festival on the North Fork and East End of Long Island. Now in its 11th season, the festival presents music in distinctive settings that engage the community and encourage audiences to experience performances on multiple levels. Organizers believe that exceptional music is best enjoyed in unique environments, bringing together art, nature, and local culture.

Guests are encouraged to arrive at 5 p.m. to explore the botanical gardens before the 6 p.m. concert on the main lawn. The music series runs from now until September this year, and includes more than 20 events across the East End, celebrating the connections between music, art, agriculture, and our environment.
