The Greenport Farmers Market is set to return to Mitchell Park later this month with a new schedule, an expanded lineup of vendors and a renewed push to draw both local residents and weekend visitors into the heart of Greenport on busy summer Saturdays.
The market, which opens for the season on May 23, will now be held on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a shift organizers hope will make the market more accessible to working residents and tourists arriving on the North Fork for the weekend.
“The big change this year is that we have moved the market to Saturday mornings,” said Greenport Farmers Market manager Paul Livesey. “This means that people who were working on Friday afternoons, or who only arrive out to Greenport on Friday evenings, will now be able to stop by and shop for local produce. It should also capture much more foot traffic from weekend visitors to Greenport too.”

The market season will run through Oct. 10.
Returning vendors this year include Treiber Farms, Golden Acres Organic Farm, Deep Dive Farm, Zafferano Farm, Consider Bardwell cheeses, Horman’s Best Pickles, Greenport Jerky, Fields of Dough, Alpina Bakery, TVA Microgreens, Soul Creations, Eastward Lavender Farm & Garden and Disset Chocolate.
Several new vendors are also joining the market for the 2026 season, including Sweet Melissa 1932 Farmhouse canned goods and eggs, Turturici & Sons olive oil, NoFo Flour Shoppe, The Crumb & The Kettle and Lily Pad Acres flowers.

As in recent years, the market will also feature live entertainment and community programming funded by the Friends of Mitchell Park. Organizers said the group will once again sponsor music performances by the Roth and Fuhr Men, along with activities hosted by VEME Studios. Last year’s collaborations included hand-painted tote bag workshops for market-goers.
The Saturday market will overlap with the popular Tai Chi in the Park program, which runs from 9 to 10 a.m. in Mitchell Park, potentially adding to the morning foot traffic downtown.
