Peconic Landing and the Brecknock Hall Foundation will host their annual End of Summer Music and Fireworks Celebration on Sunday, Aug. 30, offering a free evening of live music and fireworks in Greenport.

The community event begins at 6:30 p.m. on the patio at Brecknock Hall with a performance by Skyline, an eight-piece band from Code Bleu Music & Entertainment playing popular music spanning multiple generations.

Fireworks are scheduled to begin around sunset, at approximately 8:15 p.m., over Peconic Landing’s community pond. The display will be produced by Starfire Corporation.

Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets and watch from the surrounding lawn. A rain date is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 31.

The annual celebration began in 2012 and typically draws more than 1,000 people, according to organizers.

“Summer on the North Fork is so special, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to celebrate it with our neighbors,” Peconic Landing President and CEO Robert J. Syron said. “Brecknock Hall has long been a gathering place for the community, and we’re proud to continue that tradition.”

The event is free and open to the public. More information is available through Peconic Landing.
