Riverhead sees its highest sale in months
A beachfront colonial home with a pool on Sandpiper Drive that sold for $2.9 million was the largest sale price Riverhead has seen since the 40-acre property at 5873 Sound Avenue sold for $4.15 million last May.
The house was the only residential property among the three that sold for more than $2 million in this week’s listings.

1117 Main Road Realty LLC bought the 24-acre commercial property at 1117 Main Road, across from Paumanok Vineyards, from N & L Properties LP for $2.3 million.
CUTCHOGUE
Peconic Community School purchased the commercial property at 27835 Main Road, right behind the school, from Roman Catholic Church of The Sacred Heart for $2.85 million.
Glen Court LLC sold the three-bedroom ranch house at 545 Glen Court, near Duck Pond Point on the Long Island Sound, to Vista Bluff 1818 LLC for $1.825 million.
Joseph & Darla Doorhy bought the two-bedroom condo at 32 Millstone Lane, near North Fork Country Club, from Jennifer Steigerwald for $1.125 million.
Sterling Churgin purchased the four-bedroom ranch house at 18250 County Road 48, just up the road from Borghese. Vineyard, from H.U.D. for $550,000.
EAST MARION
No real estate transfers were announced for East Marion this week.
GREEENPORT
Cynthia & Geri Armine-Klein sold the three-bedroom condo at 131 6th Street Unit G, on Pipes Coves near 5th Street Beach, to Robert & Mary Von Ancken for $1,687,500.
JAMESPORT
No real estate transfers were announced for Jamesport this week.
LAUREL
Scott & Carrie Culpepper bought the three-bedroom Cape Cod house at 920 Bray Avenue, near the west end of Horton Creek, from Michael & Pamela Giampietro for $785,000.
MATTITUCK
Quiet Man Holdings LLC purchased the two-bedroom house at 15 East Mill Road, on the east edge of Mattituck Inlet, from Russell Bates for $850,000.
Genevieve Woessner sold the three-bedroom home at 5180 Sound Avenue, just east of Macari Vineyards, to Dalton Studios LLC for $460,000.
ORIENT
Joseph Wysocki bought the vacant land at 145 Platt Road, down the street from Oysterponds Elementary School. in an intra-family purchase from Patricia Wysocki for $280,000.
PECONIC

Thomas & Nancy Carney purchased the four-bedroom colonial house at 321 Sandpiper Drive, near Roanoke Point, from Frank & Paula Doka for $2.9 million.
Mary Ainsworth and Steven Thrall sold the high-ceilinged colonial home at 72 Old Farm Road, south of Woods at Cherry Creek, to Deborah Tuchman and Hong Loo for $605,000.
Irma Lopez bought the three-bedroom ranch house at 323 Doctors Path, near Unity Park, from Albert Mack for $580,000.
MRK Island Properties LLC purchased the one-bedroom house on the Peconic River at 639 West Main Street from Janice-Mackieg Realty Corp for $310,000.
Christopher Molloy and Maria Lenzsch sold a partial interest in the two-bedroom condo at 1304 Baltusrol Blvd, near Woods at Cherry Creek, to Jessica Molloy for $210,000.
