For more than 30 years, I have worked in and around Southold Town Hall. I have seen what it takes to move a good idea from a meeting agenda to a result you can see on your street. The truth is simple: progress depends on capable partners who know how local government works and who are willing to roll up their sleeves.
That is why I am urging Southold voters to elect Nick Planamento and Chris Talbot to the Town Council and Stephanie Hall as Fishers Island justice.
Nick brings deep knowledge of zoning, site plan review and the Zoning Board of Appeals. That experience matters when we are addressing housing that fits Southold, improving cell service, protecting water quality and updating codes with clarity and fairness. He knows the process and how to navigate it so residents get timely, transparent decisions.
Chris has already served with distinction on the Town Board. He is a longtime employee of the Village of Southampton as senior building and zoning official, overseeing enforcement and the fire marshal’s office, while continuing decades of leadership in the Cutchogue Fire Department as an interior firefighter and EMT. He understands permitting, enforcement, public safety, and the practical realities of budgeting and infrastructure. When an issue touches your home, your business or your block, you want someone who has been in the field as well as at the dais.
Southold is at a pivotal point with the proposed zoning update. We need Chris and Nick’s expertise in all aspects of zoning to preserve the character of our town that we all love.
On Fishers Island, we need a steady, respected voice in the courtroom and in the community. Stephanie Hall will provide exactly that. She will carry forward the high standard set by Louisa Evans, ensuring fair, evenhanded justice and strong communication with Town Hall.
This election is about competent, responsive government. I can’t do it alone. Please join me in voting for Nick Planamento and Chris Talbot for Town Council and Stephanie Hall for Fishers Island justice. Southold deserves a team that is ready on day one. Let’s preserve Southold together.
