This year’s chili cook-off drew strong showings from both local restaurants and fire departments, with multiple winners recognized by judges and the public. In the restaurant category, Silver Sands Motel, Dawg Daze BBQ and Ellen’s on Front earned gold, silver and bronze honors, respectively, across both the judges’ and People’s Choice voting. Among fire departments, Mattituck Fire Department, Greenport Fire Department and Southold Fire Department captured People’s Choice awards, while judges selected East Marion Fire Department, Greenport Fire Department and Southold Fire Department as standouts, underscoring the depth of competition in one of the North Fork’s most popular winter events.
