Acclaimed concert pianist Magdalena Baczewska will return to the Jamesport Meeting House for a performance Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m.
The concert will mark Baczewska’s sixth appearance at the historic Jamesport venue. Her program will feature works by Fryderyk Chopin, Henry Cowell, Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Franghiz Ali-Zadeh, Philip Glass and Arvo Pärt.
Baczewska is director of the Music Performance Program at Columbia University and has performed with orchestras including the San Francisco Symphony and Philadelphia Orchestra. Her appearances have included Carnegie Hall, the Tanglewood Music Festival and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing.
The concert will be held at the Jamesport Meeting House, 1590 Main Road, Jamesport, which is considered the oldest public building on Long Island’s East End.
Tickets are $20 and include a reception with Baczewska following the performance. Advance purchase is recommended. Tickets are available through the events page at Jamesport Meeting House.
