The North Fork Audubon Society will partner with the South Fork Natural History Museum for a guided bird walk at Mashomack Preserve on Friday, May 29.

The event will run from 8 to 10:45 a.m. and will feature Frank Quevedo and naturalist Aiden Perkins, who set Suffolk County’s “Big Year” birding record.

Participants will travel to Shelter Island to explore one of the region’s premier birding destinations during peak spring migration season. The walk is expected to highlight local bird species and provide opportunities to learn about bird identification, habitat and conservation from experienced guides.

The program is being presented jointly by the North Fork Audubon Society and the South Fork Natural History Museum.
